Many religions have a set of rules and guidelines to follow known as doctrines. The problem with many religious texts today is the loss of meaning through translation. Many have become outdated. Furthermore beliefs of different religions tend to overlap.
The goal of Open Source Religion (OSR) is to develop a list of user defined religious doctrines. One creed, kept up to date, by the people, for the people.
Visitors are welcome to
view the list of doctrines
and rate each according to his or her own beliefs and moral codes.
(Regular users may want to
view the latest doctrines
.) You are also welcome and encouraged to
add a doctrine
for others to review and vote upon. It is our belief people have the innate capability to know what is right and wrong. Visitors are urged to look within themselves to realize there own moral codes and religious beliefs.
OSR is a dynamic religion. Its doctrines are constantly changing to fit with current times and societies. Because people from different religious backgrounds are able to submit doctrines, any overlapping doctrines will be voted up and less common or out of date beleifs will be voted down. Because of the rating system, OSR removes any contradictions by placing an order to the list.
Remember to keep an open mind and enjoy your stay.
